You are running a Jomsocial community with lots of events? Then you have to handle the issue how to delete past events from your System. In general these events are lacking of interest as soon as they are out of date.
So far, there was no choice, either delete one by one by hand or access the database directly. No other possibilities were given to delete your old events. If this is too time consuming or you don´t have the knowledge of working with databases, the battle was lost.
To change this, we have developed a plugin which does the work for you - fully automated and configurable. With our Jomsocial Event Delete plugin you can specify after how many days the past events should be deleted. So if you want to keep the events from last month – no problem!!
In the version for Joomla 1.7 you can also choose from which category (or categories) the past events should be deleted. E.g. it is possible to delete only the past events from a specified category and leave the events from other categories in your system.
